Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 16, 2026
Cavi Consulting ("Cavi", "we", "us"), based in Richmond, Virginia, operates this website. This policy explains what information we handle when you visit the site or contact us, who processes it on our behalf, and how to reach us about it. The short version: we collect what you send us, we measure how the site is used so we can improve it, and we do not sell personal information.
Information you give us
When you use the contact form, the AI readiness assessment, or the newsletter signup, we receive what you enter: typically your name, company, email address, your message, and, for the assessment, your answers. We use it to respond to your inquiry, deliver assessment results, and send the newsletter if you signed up for it. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting infrastructure records standard technical data when pages and assets are requested: IP address, browser type, requested URL, and timestamp.
We also run two analytics tools on the site:
- Cloudflare Web Analytics counts page views and visits and records the page that referred you, your country, your browser and device type, and how fast pages load. It sets no cookies and, according to Cloudflare, does not collect personal data.
- Microsoft Clarity records how visitors use our pages, such as clicks, scrolling and mouse movement, and shows it to us as heatmaps and session replays. Clarity uses first-party and third-party cookies to recognize a returning browser. Anything you type into a form is masked in your browser and never sent to Clarity. Clarity is a Microsoft service, and Microsoft may also use the data it collects for its own purposes, including Microsoft Advertising. The Microsoft Privacy Statement explains how Microsoft collects and uses data.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, which stops Clarity from recognizing your browser between visits. Clarity does not respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
Who processes data on our behalf
- HubSpot is our CRM. Form and newsletter submissions go to HubSpot, a US-based company, so we can manage and answer them.
- Cloudflare hosts and delivers the website, filters malicious traffic, and runs Cloudflare Web Analytics. It processes the technical request data described above.
- Microsoft runs Clarity, as described above.
Apart from the two analytics tools, every script, stylesheet, font, and image the site uses is served from our own domain.
Links to external services, such as our booking calendar (Calendly) and our LinkedIn page, take you to those providers' sites, where their own privacy policies apply.
What we don't do
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- We do not run advertising pixels or social media trackers.
- We do not make automated decisions about you.
Retention
We keep inquiry and contact data for as long as needed to handle the conversation and any resulting engagement, and newsletter data until you unsubscribe. Clarity keeps session replays for 30 days, apart from a sample kept for up to nine months, and keeps heatmaps for up to nine months. Cloudflare Web Analytics keeps its data for six months. You can ask us to delete your data sooner at any time.
Your choices
Email us at info@caviconsulting.com to ask what data we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will act on reasonable requests promptly. Depending on where you live, you may have additional statutory rights (for example under California or EU privacy law); we honor those on request too.
Security
The site is served exclusively over HTTPS, and form submissions travel encrypted to our processors.
Children
This site is for businesses and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date. Material changes will be noted here.
October 16, 2026: we added Cloudflare Web Analytics and Microsoft Clarity and updated this policy to describe them.
